What we do with your email

Short version: we keep your email address so we can contact you about this matter, and we do not sell it or share it with anyone.

What we collect

Your email address, which you type in yourself. Nothing else is required.

Optionally, if you choose to answer the follow-up questions: your state, which devices or accounts were involved, and anything you want to tell us in your own words.

Three technical details recorded automatically with each submission: which part of the page you submitted from, your browser's user-agent string, and a one-way salted hash of your IP address. We do not store your IP address itself, and the hash cannot be reversed back into one.

Why we collect it

To contact you about this matter, to work out whether you may be covered by it, and to understand the scale and pattern of what happened across everyone who comes forward.

The technical details exist only to limit automated abuse of the form. They are not used to profile you, and they are not combined with data from anywhere else.

What we do not do

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information.

We do not share it with any company named on this site.

We do not use it for advertising, and we do not load advertising trackers or marketing pixels on this site.

We use Vercel Analytics for anonymous page-view and performance metrics. It does not use cookies for advertising and is not used to sell or share your email.

We do not send newsletters or marketing. You will hear from us about this matter, and nothing else.

Where it is stored

In a Postgres database hosted by Neon, accessed only by this site's server code. The site itself is hosted on Vercel.

How long we keep it

For as long as the matter is active.

Legal status of this page

Submitting your email through this site does not create an attorney-client relationship, and nothing on this site is legal advice.

This notice describes current practice for this site. If it changes in a way that affects information already submitted, we will say so here before the change takes effect.
